I think there is plenty of room for improvement at Musgrave Park Hospital.
The parts of the hospital I saw were not well sign-posted. I needed to go to Ward 2B or something and there is one ward after another and when I went to approach the nurse's station they seemed *extremely annoyed* that how dare I approach them and ask about my grandmother, considering that there was no writing *anywhere* to say it was Ward 2A and that I had to continue further down the corridor. My grandmother (who has dementia) had recently come out of surgery following a right total hip replacement and was complaining of severe pain (and this is a lady who would never usually and have a high pain tolerance) but they could only offer her Paracetamol...I do suspect if the nerve or spinal block I think she received didn't quite work given her levels of pain. One doctor came to review her incision site and was essentially dressed for the gym, had no identification on them anywhere, which I don't think it appropriate in a ward setting nor with patients with dementia and was extremely condescending when they explained why they couldn't give anything strong for the pain.
