"Wonderful staff but certainly needs improvment"

First off, I cannot fault the staff. The nurses are fantastic, caring and friendly and do all they can in difficult circumstances. However, they need better funding. The ward I was on was short staffed and bathrooms and rooms need an update. Whilst they provide the best care they can, there are some patients who need more than they are able to offer.

One niggle I had was the menu's are not good, nutrition and dietary requirements need to be looked at. My mother had to bring my food in. Staff were very accommodating though and helped all they could to find me options.

Communication between doctors and services is appalling though. Instructions for me came from another hospital and were not followed, the fault of the doctor. It caused a lot of distress and I am still getting over that.

A massive thanks to the nursing and cared staff though.
