"Disorganisation in vaccine programme"

About: NHS Lanarkshire / Covid 19 Vaccination Programme

(as a service user),

My husband and I had our first covid vaccinations on the same day, similar time and at the same place. However our second appointment was in different days 14 hours apart. I did attempt to change this appointment but there were no available appointments on the same day. So having to take a car journey from Cumbernauld to East Kilbride, then again the following morning... you would think that these appointments would have been better coordinated...

Dear Sherah21

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience on care opinion, around the covid vaccination programme.

I would apologise that we were not able to offer you and your husband an appointment on the same day and time for your 2nd vaccination. There has been a really great uptake of appointment for the vaccine in Lanarkshire and unfortunately we are not able to guarantee that households will be vaccinated together. I do realise that this was inconvenient for you and I will share your comments with the programme managers.

Kind regards.
