My dad required urgent medical treatment and was admitted to EMSU Antrim hospital on two occasions within a matter of days. This was his first experience of inpatient hospital life and he was understandably anxious. He reported a positive experience and was gratefully impressed by the care and attention he received from all the EMSU staff.
I myself work in the healthcare profession and acknowledge the demands and pressures all staff face on a daily basis. However I would like to commend Sr Lynn whom I had the pleasure of meeting on both occasions whilst accompanying my dad. What a role model you are to the nursing profession - you greeted us with a smile and installed great confidence from the outset. You were compassionate and empathetic throughout and I felt at ease leaving my dad in your care. I knew he was in safe hands and this in itself was so reassuring to me in worrying times.
I wish to thank Sr Lynn and her team for the excellent, efficient care they delivered to my dad - keep up the fabulous work as you all make a much needed positive impact to the lives of your patients and their families xxxx
"Compassionate and empathetic throughout"
