Great treatment received in waterside hospital. The only criticism, days are  very long in hospital with restricted  visiting. Not much to do to pass the time and the TV was always on and sometimes had to ask the staff to turn it down.

Good afternoon

Thank you for your feedback I am glad to hear that you received great treatment while in the waterside. I sorry that you felt the days were very long during your admission. Unfortunately due to Covid restrictions the ward day room was used as a clinical room and not as recreational room, where different activities was planned each day hopefully as Covid restrictions ease this can recommence.

As visiting was restricted I appreciate it was a very difficult time for patients and families but hopefully the staff were able to ease any concerns or worries.

Unfortunately as you were in shared room with only one television the staff always try and accommodate all patients but am sorry that in your experience the television was always on.

I have checked with the IT department and unfortunately currently there are no headphones currently available that could link to the television for patients who wish to watch the television. I have also asked the staff to check with patients before they leave the rooms to ensure that volumes are not excessively loud and I will make further enquiries about any products that maybe are available for patients use which can help minimise noise reduction.
