"Concerned my relative will be sent home without sufficient treatment"

About: Princess Royal University Hospital / Older people's healthcare

(as a relative),

My relative had a stroke and it feels like the physios etc have given up on him. We are worried that they will send him home without sufficient treatment having been done to help him recover some mobility.

We are also concerned that some staff get very impatient and huffy when he needs help with his continence. This doesn't help an already extremely difficult situation for him as he gets very tired, finding it difficult to sleep.

Dear Concernedrelative. Firstly, so sorry that we have not replied sooner. It's my responsibility to answer people's concerns on this site but I have been off sick and didn't pass the baton - apologies. Sorry that you have concerns and would really like to help. Stoke care at King's really is good so worried that you are not confident about the after care available. Please feel free to email me direct on jessica.bush@nhs.net and I will try to link you as appropriate. Kind regards. Jessica
