"Managing fatigue post covid-19 infection"

About: General practices in Lanarkshire

(as the patient),

After many months of ongoing symptoms from my initial Covid-19 infection, with fatigue being the main symptom I was referred to occupational health via my GP practice to help me try and manage my fatigue better. Having had many conversations with Sara over the last few months I feel I am getting better at managing my fatigue. Sara has helped me in understanding more about planning, pacing and prioritising daily tasks. She has provided me with  more knowledge about tasks that can impact my fatigue which I previously would not have considered. She has listened and valued everything I have had to discuss and has been truly understanding which is amazing when at times you feel so alone. The service has been really beneficial as I continue to recover and manage my fatigue better.

A special ‘Thank you’ to Sara for all your help and support over the last few months, I really appreciate it.

Dear Fatiguewarrier

Firstly, many thanks for taking the time to post such positive feedback on Care Opinion. I was sorry to hear that you have experienced extreme fatigue after having contracting covid-19, but pleased that with the help and support of Sara, your designated Occupational Therapist, that you are now managing to deal with it better. It will be my pleasure to share your post with Sara, who I know will be delighted to read of your gratitude.
