'Moment in Life' has been a wonderful experience. I would have never expected it to have such a therapeutic effect on me! It enabled me to take time to reflect on what I have achieved in my life and face emotions that I would have rather have avoided in normal times. However, they were essential to come to terms with the reality of my condition. I am also really happy to be able to leave something concrete for my children that, I hope, they will cherish. It has also enabled me to take enough distance to look at the bigger picture of life and 'tidy up' the bits of my life I have always wanted to do ‘later’ but never did!

Booking our weekly zoom meeting with Julie gave me something to look forward to each time and I cannot thank you and her (and in fact the whole team who helped with this project) enough!
I entered St Luke’s dreading what I would find there and now I am looking forward for the next time I will go there again!

Thank you so much for leaving such a positive review of our new Moments in Life service, it has clearly been beneficial to you and your story fully resonates with the reason why we decided to set the service up. This service has been co-produced by a number of committed volunteers and I am aware that you are one of the first people to have experienced this support, and therefore this feedback is vital to ensuring future work is undertaken effectively. The passion with which you have reviewed your experience is clear and I am sure that your children will cherish the work you have produced. It is also clear that this has given some therapeutic benefit to you and the fact that this has helped with crossing the threshold of the hospice is also good to hear.
