"My stay at the hospital"

About: Crosshouse Hospital / Audiology

(as a parent/guardian),

My son was in recently having some tests done for his cochlear surgery however the room we got put in wasn’t clean. The curtains where hanging off wall it was half painted empty aerosol was on bin and heating didn’t work and their was a lot of beasties.   We had to shield two weeks before our stay and week once home and my son then became unwell with a viral infection. The staff however I could not fault they offered to change us room and put heater in and covered up draft at windows with towels.

Dear Ncarey

I am so sorry to hear of the unsuitable room you and your son were initially put into when attending for surgery. This is most definitely not the standard of environment we aim to provide

In order to ensure action is taken, please can I ask you get in touch with me on my email given below with your son's details?

My email is; Laura.Harvey@aapct.scot.nhs.uk

I look forward to hearing from you and hope your son is making aa good recovery from his surgery and subsequent viral infection

Best Wishes

Laura
