I had my baby in March 2021 at SJH in Livingston. I arrived at hospital on the Friday evening as if the team were checking me into a hotel- I felt like a family member!
Adele and her student looked after me while in labour until 8 and then Dawn and her student Jennifer overnight. They were all so exceptional and kind and caring and amazing!!!! I’ve been trying to find 5 minutes since having my baby to write this and I honestly just don’t have the words to thank them all so much for being so incredibly great the whole time I was in hospital having my baby.
Unfortunately I had to have an emergency section after a long labour but I felt supported, cared for and listened to. Thank you to all the midwives you were brilliant. When you in labour ward I had just as good an experience, in particular thanks to the wee Irish gal from Cork who was an angel and helped me look after my unsettled new baby all night. I’m very grateful to you all.
