"Beyond hopeless "

About: Sparcells Surgery

I hardly ever go to the GP as I’m fortunate enough to be relatively healthy however I have developed a niggling issue which is causing me problems and I’d like to discuss it with the GP. A phone call would be fine, no need for a face to face appointment.

It seems though the surgery now have a system of phone on the day for an appointment, no advance booking permitted. I’m sure this is fine if you have no commitments at 8am and can just sit redialling constantly until you get through and someone actually answers the phone.

For those of us who have to work this system is beyond hopeless. I can’t call after 8.10 as I have to leave at that time. There is no telephone queuing system and no online booking system. It appears that is you have a job or other commitments in the morning you aren’t allowed medical attention.
