"Caring"

About: Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust

Admitted by ambulance to A&E with possible heart problem. Lots of tests done, ECG’s, CT scan, diabetes check, bloods, although they lost them and had to start again, an hour lost!

Fab doc, Irish, grey hair, slim: wish I could remember his name!

First words were, would you like a cup of tea - even if it took an hour to arrive! Had 2 drips, one paracetamol and one for dehidratisssaon. Fortunately for me all was well although I suspect Doc was worried about my oesophageal cancer 10 yrs earlier from which I have fortunately and amazingly recovered.

I spent 7 hours in a very well ordered and congenial atmosphere.

All hail to you all, especially in this environment of Covid.

It was apparent that your protocols had changed given the virus but from all the doctors, nurses, students, staff, there was only care. Thank you and God Bless!

Continue the good work and I hope you can find the name of the caring doctor who looked after me and send it to me. I would like to thank him personally. He said ‘I was a good person’ and it struck me. Never thought of myself like that.

With good wishes and good thoughts for the rest of the Covid pandemic.
