What is going on with Queens? I was in a waiting room with other patients when a 60+ year old vulnerable lady with dried blood all over her face was left in a corner of the waiting room. She was shivering and was clearly distressed, she also had cancer. She asked a porter to let the staff know she was feeling very sick & needed a bed or anything else to lay down on. The porter walked away in anger & replied in a rude manner with his back to the lady. Myself & the other waiting patients were disgusted. In the end I had to shout through the locked doors for the lady to get some attention. Why was she left on her own like this? Her son was not allowed in with her due to COVID rules but I was there with my wife as she needed me to help her around the hospital. Other patients had their partners with them as well, how anyone could think this lady was ok to be herself was a shocking decision. The porter has been reported to his manager for his terrible attitude. So many issues at this hospital, the poor reputation it has is totally warranted. So much wrong in this incident. Why was she left on her own in a corner when it was clear she needed immediate attention? Why was her son not allowed in to help her or make sure she attended to in the right way? Why did the lady have to suffer for a long time before I intervened? Why are the staff so rude when trying to get her help including the consultants? I will from now on drive further to other hospitals as this is the second time in a week I have seen poor actions from this hospital.
Sort it out Queens.
