Wokingham Medical Centre continues to provide an appauling service to it's patients. Every time you try to ring t make an appointment you have to wait on the phone for very, very, very long time (usually over 45 minutes but can be nearly an hour). Then, when (and if) you actually get through it is practically impossible to get an appointment. Instead you are advised to use an online doctor. Forget the notion of having your own or family GP because yo never hear form the GP that your registered with and always get a doctor that you've never seen before. I recently had the need to attend hospital and, following some immediate and temporary treatment, the hospital told me to contact my GP.
I've tried for 3 days to get an appointment, with the ususal wait for hours on the phone, only to be told again and again that there are no appointments available. The CQC rating is 'Needs Improvement' but from a patient's perspective things continue to get worse wit no sign of anything improving. Things were much, much better when Wokingham had a number of smaller GP surgeries and before they were all consolidated into WMC.
