Today I rang regarding a repeat request for my medication. I have normally always made an appointment with my GP who authorised the medication although my GP advised me that this didn’t have to be the case and I could put a repeat request in to the surgery where it would be picked up via a GP and authorised so I could take my medication. Today was my first time doing so via the receptionist department so I wasn’t aware of the process. The receptionist was very rude, not helpful at all as she did not explain the process but spoke to me like rubbish. Her tone of voice was very patronising and left me confused as to the whole process. In future I will make an appointment with a month in advance (as this is how little the appointments are available) and speak to a GP prior to getting my medication.
