We attended Downe hospital last Friday for our 20 week anomaly scan and the standard of care was excellent. The hospital itself was bright and modern, felt very welcoming and the staff were very helpful.
When we were having the actual scan the sonographer was brilliant, explaining everything they were doing and answering all our questions (even if they'd been asked them 20 times already that day). We then went to see the midwife who again was amazing, took the time to talk us through everything, asked us if we had any questions and made sure we were all set.
It was an excellent experience at a stressful time which definitely reduced our stress levels. I would highly recommend Downe hospital, we live about an hour away so wouldn't be our closest, but it was worth the trip on this occasion.
