Tried to register foster children, down loaded the government web site form GMS1 to save time as I only wanted to visit the practice once. They wouldn't accept this. So given the same form to fill in only not on A4 format. Then given a 3 page questionnaire to fill in regarding medical history which I don't have. Surely they can access this once they get the previous history from the last GP. Told I had to have the NHS number and to phone previous GP who would give this to me. This after being told willow bank couldn't help due to confidentiality laws, so that law doesn't apply to the previous GP (the address of whom I had put on the GMS1 form)? So yet another job for the already over stretched social worker. Not like they have much else to do is it. At this rate the children will be 18 and will be able to register on their own.
"All a bit too much trouble for them."
