After my baby being overdue, my labour was induced. I spent from 6am in the labour ward until the birth of my son at 21:46.
After spending a considerable amount of time in labour with little progression when pushing, the night shift midwife came on duty (Sharon).
Sharon immediately helped me feel more at ease and I really felt a sense of 'she was there for me'.
Especially when it was then established that my baby was lying back to back and I had to go. For an emergency cesarean section under general anesthetic.
I was so scared and really didn't want to miss the birth of my baby however there was no other options and I had to be put to sleep.
Sharon made this experience so much better and I felt supported throughout.
Cannot thank her enough for her help!
