As a first time Mum, with a background in healthcare I have been fairly calm throughout my pregnancy however when presented with a PE at 27 weeks pregnant I was concerned and anxious as to how this would affect my overall health throughout my third trimester.

I spent 2 days in Ward 16, under the care of midwives and MCA’s. From the bottom of my heart, I could not say a bad word about a single person! Each and every person made me feel welcome and listened to, I felt trust in the midwives that they were providing the best care for me and bump.

I would especially like to praise Louise, who I have now been looked after by, on 2 occasions. Louise remembered information I told her months ago, and made small talk with me to keep me calm. Also, Tracey, who I believe is fairly new in her role as a MCA. Tracey has an amazing bedside manner and was excellent at attending to my needs! 

I am thoroughly looking forward to being cared for by all the maternity staff when I come to have my baby.

Thank you for your lovely feedback. I am sorry to hear you were admitted with a PE at 27 weeks, but pleased you have felt supported though your pregnancy and admission.

It is lovely to hear the midwives made you feel calm and listened to you as we aim to deliver women centred care.
