"My true experience"

About: University Hospital Hairmyres / Day Surgery

(as the patient),

This feedback is based on my true experience on visiting the hospital today for an endoscopy procedure

from the moment I arrived in the hospital door I asked for help and reception staff was really nice and give me directions to the word, upon arriving at the Day surgery endoscopy ward I was directed to the reception area whereby my details were taken and asked to be seated, five minutes later I was taken to the actual word to be prepped for my procedure

Staff Nurse went through the required paperwork explained what would happen, at the same time staff nurse was taking notes of my details

within the next 30 minutes I was taking to the room to preform the procedure, whole procedure took 5/10 minutes, { too traumatised to remember HaHa} and then I was moved to the recovery room

its worth noting that throughout the above stages all staff introduced themselves by their names, and each stage explained the process

A BIG thank you and well done to whole staff, reiterating how friendly staff were and made me feel relaxed and that I was on safe hands

We are aware people are often anxious when attending for a procedure and the staff work really hard to provide clear information and help allay any fears or anxieties people may have; it sounds like you've had a positive experience.
