"Waiting times are too much"

My wife walked in for a knee injury due to a fall from a bike, i wasnt allowed in but visibly there were other who were allowed to go in with their patients, and we waited in excess of 4 hours without anyone asking whether she was in pain or any even came to look, finally when she asked how long they said it might be hours and said you might as well leave. We finally decided to leave cause there was no point in waiting anymore.

I am sorry to read your comments about your recent visit to Queen Elizabeth Hospital, it is important to us that all patients experience a compassionate and caring journey throughout their time with us. As an Emergency Department (ED) we strive to provide the best possible care for all our patients and it concerns us greatly should any patient feel that this was not the case for them. I do apologise that this has not been your or your wife’s experience on this occasion.

Please be assured that all the concerns you have raised are acknowledged and will be highlighted to the whole team, by sharing your experience we can learn and aim to improve the future level of care we provide to our patients.
