"Very high standard of care"

About: Crosshouse Hospital / Accident & Emergency

(as a service user),

Thank you to the staff looking after my daughter evening of 09/05/2021 when she attended with acute abdominal pain. As a parent it is very distressing to watch your daughter in so much pain but I needn’t worry as she was in very safe hands.

She was very scared but was never rushed, everything was explained thoroughly to her. The doctor and auxiliary listened to my concerns and my daughter got a thorough examination. Only when she felt well, we knew not in any danger and with a clear plan were we allowed to leave.

The A&E dept was busy and I’m sure it had been a challenging day but the standard of care given was very high and we never felt rushed or a burden. The doctor attending my daughter and auxiliary nurse or as my daughter said the breathing doctor as she was the one to help my daughter stay calm, were excellent. A credit to your dept. I am pleased to say she is recovering well and hopefully be fit for more races soon.
