"First class hospital, excellent staff "

About: The Royal Victoria Infirmary

Attended A@E on the 6/05/21 due to chest pains and shortness of breath.

On arrival a Nurse was called immediately by deskstaff who took me through to triage after getting a chair .

From there I was seen by a doctor within minutes, who arrange tests, had me on monitors and receiving the best of care. I was moved to the adjacent treatment area and had various scans carried out etc. The staff so calming, firendly and polite.

I was then moved to a close monitor unit to be kept in overnight. The sister in charge introduced herself and other staff, and was very informative about what the plan was keeping me overnight and the next steps of my care.

I had an overnight stay and night staff were just as polite and made me comfortable and made sure I was OK, even though they were extremely busy.

I would just like thank everyone involved and the cardiac team vho visited the next morning to arrange further outpatient care.

The hospital was one go the cleanest I've visited, staff go the extra mile and are so professional and caring, management must be very proud of such a well run and staffed environment.

Thank you again, my family and I are really grateful for the level of care etc delivered.

Thank you for taking the time to leave your feedback regarding your care received when attending the A&E department at the RVI. We are pleased that the staff were caring and efficient and that following your overnight stay for monitoring, further outpatient care was arranged for your discharge. We will forward your feedback to the directorate concerned who will share with the staff involved in your care.
