"Just brilliant"

I have been coming to 56 Dean Street and Dean Street Express for 18 months and I love it. The staff make you feel comfortable, are non-judgemental and listen. I come down from the West Midlands specifically for this clinic, because my local GUM clinics are something to be desired in terms of care. I also attend because I am a trans-man and I am treated with the respect that I deserve, which is refreshing after visiting my local GUM clinic and being addressed by female pronouns and treated like a cis-female by one of the lead doctors. I also appreciate that results are available in 24 or less - no horrible, anxiety riddled 2 weeks wait.

I also think it is commendable that the clinic hasn’t closed at all during the pandemic - they have managed to still see patients whilst keeping everyone safe; it is a much more forward thinking attitude than most other sexual health services in the UK who assume that people’s sex life has been put on pause the last 12 months. If Dean Street can stay open and still give professional, safe care, so should other CCG run clinics.
