I gave birth to my wonderful boy after 43 hours of labour on the 28th of February. I am very pleased that I chose to have my baby at the Frimley Park hospital despite it being a little distance away from home. It is a shame I can not mention names on this platform. I want to send my special thanks to midwives and student midwives who treated me and my baby on the labour ward. As somebody who works for NHS I know very well it is physically and emotionally difficult to work in such intense environment.
I want to say thank you to midwife who took care of me on her day shift (27/02). She was incredibly patient, understanding, respectful and calm. I felt she has wonderful skills in reading what an individual needs; she provided emotional holding and gave me just the right amount of comfort, distraction, and support. I am Thankful for how respectful, informed and reactive she was with my pain relief. Thank you for non judgemental guidance. Her student midwife did great in talking through facts and providing information. It was really helpful.
I want to thank night shift midwife (27-28/02) and her student midwife. I felt completely confident in Her care. I felt so safe as her experience and knowledge was obvious. She made me feel that ‘she’s got this’ so I didn’t have to worry one bit. She gave me a gift to just be in the moment. And thank you to student midwife who was especially compassionate and caring.
I also spent a night on the postnatal ward. I want to thank midwife who took care of me on the 1st of March. She knew what I needed more than me at the time. Thank you for reading my non verbal cues and taking care of my pain. She made my discharge smooth and transition home so much more bearable. Everyone on postnatal ward were brilliant. Thank you
I want to say thank you to other professionals who took care of me on labour and postnatal ward too. Everyone were especially kind and empathic. As a token of our family gratitude we are sending a box of M&as treats.
I hope their hard work and dedication will be acknowledged by management
Best wishes,
Dovile Vore
