"Excellent Care"

I have just returned home after a full left knee replacement. The surgery and after-care was exemplary. Successful surgery was performed on Tuesday morning and I was discharged on Wednesday afternoon. The whole experience was so positive. All of the team involved including the surgeon, the anaesthetist, and the theatre staff in St. Michael’s Ward made me feel comfortable and reassured throughout. The procedure was explained in detail with every opportunity to ask questions. After the operation I was transferred to St. Joseph’s Ward for follow up care. Once again all of the staff were friendly, professional, supportive and helpful. This resulted in a speedy recovery and early discharge. I am really grateful to everyone I interacted with at St. Michael’s Hospital who made what could have been a traumatic experience into a pleasant experience. The domestic staff must be mentioned too. Nothing was too much trouble for them. The atmosphere in the hospital presents a happy family aura. I was truly impressed with every part of the journey from admission to discharge. Thank you to everyone. A truly professional team presenting the best of the NHS.
