"Just what we needed as a family to guide us through the maze of supporting mum after her stroke"

The service provided by the Stroke team to mum was amazing. Whilst caring and providing rehabilitation to mum after her stroke, they were also a great source of comfort and support to us as a family. Roanne, Alison, Leeann and Margaret were just what we needed as a family to guide us through the maze of supporting mum after her stroke. They worked around carers with no complaints, and often had to reschedule due to appointments.

Leaane and Alison worked very hard to get mum walking again and Roanne went way beyond the norm to support us and mum through a difficult appointment.

They all had to work through these difficult times of covid with no complaints at all. 

Although I am so pleased mum has been discharged, we will as a family, miss the team.

Many thanks for taking the time to feedback on the service you received from the Community Stroke Team.

I am thrilled that you have found the service a great source of comfort and support to both your mum and you as a family. Our service aims to rehabilitate and support people following a stroke and in doing this we aim to support their families as well. It is really important to us that we hear from patients/carers/family to inform us of how we are doing, in order to shape the delivery of services to provide the best care possible.

I am encouraged to hear your kind words about the team. Thank you, I will be sure to feedback to Roanne, Alison, Leanne and Margaret, whom you have mentioned.

We have had to adapt to a new ways of working due to the COVID 19 Pandemic, but feel reassured that the feedback we are getting is positive and that that we are still able to help and support stroke survivors and families like yourself throughout this period.

It is great to hear your Mum has made such good progress following our intervention.

Reading this feedback has made me so proud of the services we deliver and the staff working within the team. Thank you for your kindness and please accept my best wishes for your Mum's future health.
