About: General practices in Fife Victoria Hospital / Urology

(as the patient),

I have had a very poor experience with the Urology department at Fife and my local surgery. I have been trying to get answers from the department which has been extremely difficult. 

I feel I have been fobbed off, because I called several time and finally I get two appointment but the doctor never calls me in the appointment.

Today I am waiting again for a call from the doctor and again they have not attended the appointment. I called to GP and the receptionist told me that within ten minutes the doctor will call me, but unfortunately they again didn't call me.

Personally I am a younger person for my situation that I am suffering. Also, I told the doctor about my situation but I think that they don't understand what I am suffering. 

I have been waiting just for an answer since January 2021. The doctor told me that I need to wait two months but after five months I haven't received any answer from the doctor and from urology. 

I called the doctor and I can't find any answer. The receptionist told me that I need to call to urology appointment.

After that the urology appointment told me that I need to wait ONE YEAR, but if my situation worsens I have to call my GP. After several rang and two weeks finally I get a fast meet with my doctor by telephone. I told them my new situation (which unfortunately has worsened) and they told me that they will send a letter to urology department. 

After another two weeks I called to urology appointment and they don't know nothing about me. 

After that, I called to GP again several time to try to get a appointment with the doctor. When finally I get a appointment the doctor doesn't call me.

The last time I was able to speak to my consultant was February 2020. This situation has had a massive adverse affect on my mental health and quality of life because of the pain it causes me. I realise there is a pandemic going on, but on the other hand I cannot stay quiet and just 'ride' this out as I have no idea when I can expect to hear from urology. Its been so poor from a communicative point of view.

I can't more I feel really frustrated and my mental health is really bad. 

Please I need help
