"Poor Service to the elderly "

About: Stubbington Medical Practice

My husband d.o.b 30.7.34 with Alzeimers was treated at QA Hospital on 4.4.2020. He was prescribed medication and given a tube for a further urine test. On contacting the surgery I was informed that the information would be passed to the nurse who would contact us. This did not happen and I telephoned the surgery again. The receptionist was not at all obliging and put the phone down on me. I telephoned the urology ward at QA who agreed to send an email to the surgery. After another week still no contact from the surgery so I telephoned again. The message had not been forwarded to a GP but she agreed to do it straight away. I asked if someone could contact me to confirm that the prescription had been sent to the village pharmacy. 4.5.2021 still no contact. As the main carer for my husband I have also been waiting two months for a hip injection and at age 78 am afraid of falling due to poor mobility . The poor lack of service could result in the need for residential care.
