"Great Practice and Great Care"

About: Leicester General Hospital

I was admitted to Ward 11 for a hysteroscopy and polypectomy in April. I was really scared as I had never had an operation before. I had opted for a general anaesthetic. Without exception, all of the staff were fantastic. They were professional, caring, kind and thoughtful. Nothing was too much trouble for them. The staff, on the ward itself, could not do enough for patients. The ward was clean and well prepared with everything I needed. The theatre staff were great and continued to put me at ease until the moment the anaesthetic took effect. Back on the ward, the caring continued and I was walked to the loo for safety reasons. I was provided with a sandwich, crisps and a hot drink. I was given the information I needed for home and was duly discharged. I was then walked to my car by one of the members of staff. A huge thank you to each and everyone that was involved in my care.
