I've just had my 1st colonoscopy today at The Victoria Hospital Kirkcaldy Fife, I was in the Day Intervention Ward. My colonoscopy which was a very difficult colonoscopy very deep sigmoid loop with DC in depression left by neohrectomy.
The Staff doing the colonoscopy was Mr Neil, Mr Phil, Nurses Miss Rachel, Staff Nurse Jolie. This procedure was difficult due to my previous op of left Nephrectomy all staff were very reassuring and helpful during this procedure talking and reassuring me at every step. Both Mr Neil and Mr Phil explained fully their findings of my procedure explaining that my colon was clear but as it was a very difficult colonoscopy further procedure would be by colin capsule.
Further Staff I met were Lynne and Staff Nurse Jacquie.
I want to pay special thanks to all the Staff who were very supportive and professional throughout. I shared information I had about my Lynch Syndrome diagnosis and Staff were very interested in my condition and Mr Neil discussed his knowledge of Lynch Syndrome too.
I can't thank this wonderful NHS Staff enough for always being so supportive and understanding.
"Fully supported through a difficult procedure"
