"Outstanding Patient Care from the Theatre Team "

My partner had gallbladder surgery on 22/04 & I would like to thank all of the staff that looked after him. He has PTSD & was very anxious about going under anaesthetic.

The anaesthetist spent time explaining & adapting her procedure to suit his condition & made him feel very comfortable & at ease.

The surgeon has done an incredible job performing the surgery & also thoroughly explaining everything beforehand.

I would also like to say a massive heartfelt thank you to your whole theatre team who delivered outstanding patient care and support for me (the family) at such a worrying & stressful time. I am sorry that I can't remember everyone's names but in particular, a nurse went above & beyond. She knew that I was a worried family member so she would phone me many, many times to let me know any updates. She even phoned me right at the end of her shift to let me know he was being admitted & answered any concerns that I had. You feel a bit helpless being the family member but thus nurse just made me feel so valued & listened to & I just can't thank you enough. I was able to sleep that night knowing all of the information and also that he was in really safe hands.

I would also like to thank another nurse who thoroughly explained everything to my partner beforehand & spent time listening to him. His communication skills and patient care were also high quality & really made a difference to relaxing all of us during this stressful time.

Thank you to the whole theatre team for supporting us and providing my partner with a safe recovery from his surgery. We can tell that you are a brilliant team and are passionate about giving high quality care. Stay safe and God Bless to you all x
