I was recently admitted to the Countess with a heart problem. I was transferred after assessment to Modular Ward B. The nursing and ancillary staff there made me feel extremely comfortable and really cared for. They all demonstrated a high level of skill and I felt I was in very secure hands. They all explained my condition at every step and gave me plenty of information as it became available.
While I was in the ward I observed them all dealing with a wide range of patients and without exception they showed remarkable compassion and commitment to their work. Despite the difficulties faced by the Health Service over the last year or so, I found all the staff to be cheery and dedicated, uncomplaining and upbeat which went a long way to making the patients, myself included, feel that they would eventually be able to make a good recovery.
Every aspect of the service, from the clinical to the cleaners and of course not forgetting the excellent catering, was of a remarkably high standard and I would like to thank everyone for making an extremely anxious time both bearable and positive.
"Wonderful compassion and commitment"
