"Oral surgery day tooth extraction experience"

About: Royal Cornwall Hospital (Treliske) / Orthodontics

(as a parent/guardian),

My daughter was a day case to have 3 teeth removed under general anaesthetic. This was her first time in hospital and it was a challenging time as she suffers from anxiety, panic and is needle phobic. I could not of asked for more brilliant care from the entire team - Debbie (Deputy Ward sister), Sam (Anaesthetist), Vincent (Surgeon), Lesley and Anthony (Recovery) plus two other theatre staff (sorry for not catching your names). My daughter became distraught prior to being anaesthetised and the care and compassion shown by the team was first class. I cannot thank you enough.

Dear camelopardaliswg36,

Thank you so much for taking the time to share your story with us.

Coming into hospital for the first time must have been a very daunting experience for your daughter.

I'm so glad she was well looked after and that you felt the team were both caring and compassionate.

I will ensure your kind words and positive feedback are passed on to all those involved as I know they will be greatly appreciated.

Wishing your daughter a very speedy recovery.

With kindest regards

Lucie Baker (Unit Sister)
