"Exceptional care for endometriosis"

About: Rosie Hospital

Have a complex medical history, came with long-running endometriosis looking for management - was met with empathy, care and staff who went above and beyond. Was able to explain some odd complexities (inability to tolerate hormonal treatment due to psychiatric issues), and talk about ongoing care for something that has massively impacted my quality of life.

All of those in the team were incredibly kind and patient. Discussed options, everything was explained in detail, and - in the same visit! - was able to have an ultrasound and Mirena coil insertion - I've experienced several failed insertions previously, was incredibly nervous, and yet it was successful. I didn't feel judged, but like those involved really understood and had my back! Having everything same-day meant I didn't have to try and manage the challenges of follow-ups (psychiatric issues make it very difficult for me to go back-and-forward between appointments) and I was able to develop trust and rapport with those involved; on every metric, this was a vast improvement over my previous experiences in other hospitals, and after years of difficulties the relief and gratitude is more than I can really convey in one review!!

Altogether, far and away the best experience of gynaecology in my life, and I am incredibly grateful. In the space of two hours, went from frankly terrified of gynaecological care, into feeling supported and with a procedure performed that I'd given up on after my prior experience. I'd assumed I'd spend my life in and out of surgeries trying to manage my endometriosis, and instead, now feel like there are more nuanced options and that I can trust the team at Rosie.

Could not recommend more highly.

Very sincerely, thank you.
