"Being diagnosed with Stage 4 brain tumour"

About: GPs in Nottingham West Palliative Care / Community Macmillan, Nottingham West

(as the patient),

I fell over in a neighbours garden unexpectedly, ended up in A&E and the diagnosis progressed from then.

I was shocked and anxious because due to Covid I was on my own in hospital.

I have received lots of support from the community teams, including physios, Mcmillan nurse, occupational health, my GP surgery, and community nurses.

I am sorry to hear that you have had a difficult time regarding your diagnosis, especially during these times when COVID has reduced the interaction we are able to have with each other.

I am please to hear however that your experience with the community services has been a supportive and positive experience for you and that you are accessing the right services for your needs. With input from our community services I hope you feel you will be well supported in the future.

Thank you for providing this feedback, it is reassuring to know that our teams have been able to work together to provide you with the care you require.
