Today I went for a Colposcopy after my cervical smear test showed abnormalities. I was extremely nervous for this procedure and didn't know what to expect. However, the care I received was exceptional, the nurses and consultant were so supportive and encouraging making my experience quick and easy. 

The staff were lovely! Wendy came to collect me from the waiting room and made me feel immediately at ease. I was then introduced to Jen and Miss Kangeyan who went through the procedure and the results process in a way that was clear and easy for me to understand.

When the procedure was taking place I felt extremely comfortable and looked after, even in the more painful moments.

Each step of the way, I felt well informed about what was going on and my worst fears about any further treatment have been relieved! I can't thank the nurses and consultants enough!

Thank you so much for taking the time to leave your feedback after a recent visit to the Gynaecology Outpatient Department at Lincoln County Hospital.

The team really appreciate any feedback that we receive in order that we can reflect on the service and care we provide so that we can make any necessary changes or improvements and ensure that we are delivering the compassionate and dignified care that we all strive to deliver.

It is therefore really rewarding to know when we are getting it right and to read that you found the staff lovely, supportive, encouraging and you felt informed all the way through is just how we wish our patients to feel when they visit our department.

I will be sure to pass on your comments to the whole team and especially to those who you have taken the time to name personally.
