"Care and treatment"

About: Mid Argyll Community Hospital and Integrated Care / Community Casualty Department Mid Argyll Community Hospital and Integrated Care / Radiography

(as a service user),

Today I required to use A& E services at Mid Argyll Community Hospital & ICC for a fractured wrist. I was welcomed promptly and professionally by advanced nurse practitioner Gillian who triaged my situation.   I was supported by Health Care Assistant Susan who helped reduce my stress. Gillian arranged X-ray for my injury and Stan the radiographer provided excellent service.

My injury required plaster cast with Follow up consultant clinic appointment which was telephoned through to me later that day.   Whilst I was in considerable   pain I was treated professionally with excellent care and empathy from everyone involved.   Privileged to be ably to access such amazing services in our rural community hospital led by Maryanne Senior Charge Nurse

Dear Churchill house

I am sorry to hear that you sustained a fracture.

Thank you for your very positive comments about the care and treatment you received at Mid Argyll Community Hospital, Lochgilphead.

I will make sure that staff are made aware of how much you valued their care and support and how highly you regard the local service.

Wishing you well in your recovery.
