"Normally very good"

About: Esher Green Surgery

attended to give a blood sample this am

The anonymous Italian I think lady taking the sample was abrupt and in my view unprofessional in lack of care and respect

No name badge no welcome not hostile but completely indifferent manner

It wouldn't hurt to look pleasant even if a polite good morning is beyond them

The other staff are all so professional that this sort of thing shows up like a sore thumb

I met 3 top cardiac surgeons in visits for my triple bypass at St Thomas' and they all were relaxed friendly and polite almost saint-like

Surely there is some sensitivity training available to overcome this attitude -it is not nice treating people like furniture

It leaves a very unpleasant taste in the mouth to be at the receiving end and is very unfair to other members of the surgery who have empathy with patients and give a good impression in a seemingly effortless way

I don't think it would be too much to ask for an apology for my next appointment on Wednesday 28 April at 12.40 pm

Unfortunately I left home in a hurry without a mask but the lady at reception very kindly provided one with a smile-such professionalism deserves a medal!

Thank you for leaving a comment on the NHS UK site about your visit to the practice and we are sorry you felt the appointment was not carried out in a professional manner. We did speak over the phone to give our apologies and you kindly said how you felt the practice provides a good service with both the clinical and reception team being very helpful. Thank you
