"His Speech"

About: Lanarkshire Community Services / Adult Speech and Language Therapy

(as a service user),

My son was struggling with speech and found it hard to communicate with others.   Around a year ago we were introduced to Faith our speech therapist to help improve his speech.   Although the impact of Covid-19 meant we could not meet face-to-face, Faith at the Motherwell Health Centre set up online virtual sessions to assess him and put practice in place to help develop his language.   The materials and techniques provided by Faith have been greatly appreciated and we have seen a vast improvement in his communication skills.

Dear Nancy40

Thank you for taking the time to tell us about your experience with our Speech and Language Therapy Service. It is really positive to hear that despite the challenges faced during the pandemic your son has been able to benefit from Faith’s therapy. We are working in lots of new ways and it is really encouraging to hear that remote therapy has helped your son and you have seen a vast improvement in his communication skills.

I will make sure your appreciation and thanks is passed on to Faith. I hope the strategies continue to be helpful. Best wishes to you and your family,

Lucy
