"waiting list vascular appointment"

About: West Glasgow Ambulatory Care Hospital (Yorkhill)

(as the patient),

Made enquiries but cant be told when I will receive my first appointment.  My understanding having looked at government website is a new patient should be seen within 12 weeks of referral letter. Would be grateful of confirmation that this is still the case and if not when can I expect to be seen?

Anxious patient

Dear Query re waiting times,

Thank you for getting in touch. I am sorry to hear that you are feeling anxious and frustrated while waiting for your appointment.

Unfortunately the impact of COVID-19 has affected our waiting times for outpatient appointments and at this time, we are unable to give an indicative date for your appointment.

I understand that this is probably not the answer you would hope to receive but our staff are working hard to reduce waiting times. If your condition deteriorates, you might want to get in touch with your GP who will be able to provide a clinical update to the Vascular team. Thank you very much for your understanding.

Please take care and stay safe.

Kind Regards,

Euan
