"kind, caring and compassionate"

Our family have been using this surgery for the past 20 years with several family members suffering with complex medical conditions. The care we have received over the years has been exemplary. I will never forget the kindness shown to an elderly member of the family who suffered with dementia for the last year of his life.

Over the years I have suffered with various degrees of back pain, then last week I developed an excruciating pain in my thigh running all the way down my leg. The pain was as much as I could stand resulting in me calling the surgery. I spoke to the receptionist and the doctor phoned me straight back and within an hour I was in the surgery for a consultation. This morning I called the surgery again and after talking to reception, the doctor phoned me back within ten minutes to arrange medication.

I read some criticism in these reviews, but I would ask that those who criticise take a minute to consider the pressure and stresses the doctors are constantly under day after day - it must be one of the most stressful occupations there is.

So I give grateful thanks to the receptionist, nurses and doctors at the Cowley Road Medical Practice
