"Local drive"

About: North Devon District Hospital / Cancer Services

(as the patient),

I am in my 70's with Myelofibrosis so suffer from fatigue and dependent on 3 weekly blood transfusion, as a Holsworthy resident I feel less at risk having to drive a 2 minute journey rather them 30 minutes to Torrington for one hour to Barnstaple. Also, visiting a small unit means I get to know the staff and they get to know me which makes a hospital visit so much less stressful.

Dear Beetle,

Thank you for your feedback, it is really great to hear that coming to Holsworthy has meant that you have much less travelling and that this reduces your risk. Thanks again
