"Rampton Patients meeting women's service"

About: Rampton Hospital / National High Secure Healthcare Service for Women

(as the patient),

just want to say how well the women’s service patient Patient, Involvement, Recovery, Experience ( PIRE ) meeting is run, which is so important for our care

It happens once a month without fail and is held from 6pm till just before 8pm which means we have many Patients able to attend.

All our issues are listened to and more often than not they are sorted out for us. You let us say our piece.

Martina, Kath, Nigel from the Involvement Team you run it like clockwork, with Martina and her action plans, she never misses a trick.

We love seeing Nigel’s dog Chuck because its helps us to feel a bit of normality even though it’s not for long.

Could we also mention Georgia, (PA) we don’t really know her but thanks for writing it all down

Thank you all for what you do for us! !

Hello DRC 780

Thank you very much for your posting about our WS PIER meetings.

its always nice to see patients tell us what we get right as well as wrong. I am part of that meeting as you know and yes it is run like clock work. I feel as the WS care-stream we do try our best to run things smoothly and in a timely manner and we all have a part to play in this.

I'm glad that you have mentioned Nigel and Chuck and how much you look forward to seeing them both.

This will be on display for all to see in the display cabinet (DRC)

Thanks again, and keep the postings coming.

Regards

Kath

Thank you very much for taking the time to provide such positive feedback about your experience of the PIER meetings within the Women's Service at Rampton Hospital.

As chair of these meetings, I am always amazed with everyone's active involvement and contributions. I am also very proud that our group have the confidence to provide appropriate challenge and have open and honest discussions about ward cultural issues.

Thank you to Kath, Georgia, Shaun, Nigel and Chuck for always attending and showing your support and of course to all our patients - it is your involvement, that makes these meetings a success!
