"Not impressed."

About: Cumberland Centre

I fell going upstairs, putting out my left arm to stop the fall. No pain at the time. Two days later I noticed my wrist (ulnar) side had a protruding lump and an unusuaI prickling feeling in my ring and baby fingers. I also had discomfort in my arm and shoulder. Only a little discomfort but thought I should get it checked. I was told it is probably a ganglion, (which it may well be). No x-ray and sent on my way. Now, a few days later, I still have discomfort, a dull ache in my wrist, hand and arm. I can move my hand but certain twisting movements cause me pain. Don't feel it appropriate to bother a&e, especially during these times. Feeling let down by the Cumberland Centre.

Louise Huntley, Quality and Operational Lead, has responded to say:

Thank you for taking the time to leave feedback regarding your care and treatment. I am sorry to read that you feel let down by our team at UTC Cumberland. Unfortunately, I cannot comment on individual cases on this forum as it is anonymous. However, if you would like to contact our Patient Advice and Liaison office on 01752 439884, I would be more than happy to investigate your attendance. Alternatively, please email the team at: plh-tr.PALS@nhs.net

I hope that you are recovering well from your injury however if you are still in pain or discomfort, or you symptoms have worsened or changed, I would suggest contacting your Think 111 or your GP. They will be able to give further advice and direct you to the most appropriate service.

With best wishes,

Louise
