"Hospital stay"

About: Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust - Queen's Medical Centre Campus / Neurology

(as the patient),

I was admitted to hospital after attending with sudden onset headaches. I was scared and had never been into hospital before. I would like to say thank you to the staff on the AMRA ward at Nottingham’s Queens Medical Centre, in particular those who were working on the night of 11 April. The nurses were so kind and answered my questions about what was happening. They, along with the doctor and neurologist who cared for me made me feel calm and this meant a lot to me as I’d been on my own since arriving at A& E and hadn’t slept for 24 hours. They really are the true heroes in this world and I have such a great respect for all in the NHS.

Thank you this lovely feedback, it was so nice to receive it. Coming into hospital, especially when you don’t know what is causing your symptoms, can be a very worrying experience, and so I am glad to hear that all the staff in the AMRA were able to help you feel more calm, and well cared for. I’ve shared your inspiring message with the ward team.

With best wishes

Alison Haywood, Ward Manager AMRA
