Tried to contact GP through e consult. Filled form in on 31/03/21 and was told I would be contacted via phone or email before 02/04/21 by 18:30. I was not contacted so nudged the surgery via the original e mail that I hadn’t heard anything. I got an email saying I would be contacted on 07/04/21 and that I have to make myself available all day!!!!!
I work clinically at the hospital and have no phone reception so would like to think if I do not answer the phone I will get an email for contact. No, I get another no reply, computer generated email to say I was called twice and didn’t answer. No I didn’t answer because I was looking after MY patients. I try to call the surgery and there is a queue of >15 people. I only have a mobile and are they going to pay my bill!
I have not been contacted since so assume my needs are not important. I understand things are hard at the moment but really this is unacceptable and I worry that elderly or vulnerable patients are being neglected. Please do something to contact patients if they are working and cannot answer the phone. I cannot take a day off in the hope you will call. There is no reason you cannot send an email that I can reply to!
