"Outpatient hysteroscopy"

About: Musgrove Park Hospital / Gynaecology

(as a service user),

Yesterday I   had a outpatient   hysteroscopy to investigate menopause bleeding at musgrove park hospital. I felt very anxious before going to have my procedure done as I’d read a lot of bad reviews online. The staff at the hospital made me feel at ease and I felt fully in control. The hysteroscopy was painless I didn’t even feel it going in. After I had 3 biopsies taken which felt a little uncomfortable and I could feel slight period type pain when this happened but it wasn’t too bad. All the staff in the department were brilliant I could not fault them in any way, they were very compassionate, caring and understanding and worked in a highly professional way. I just wanted to write something positive about having a hysteroscopy so other ladies won’t be frightened to go for this. The key is to try to relax and it doesn’t take long to do.
