"Absolutely terrible access "

The grove surgery has the worst and least modern access I’ve known. In order to get even a routine appointment you have to wait on the phone for at least an hour. Not an option if you work. If you are frail and elderly you have no hope at this practice. They are also disorganised with prescriptions send text messages asking you to make appointments to review medication- you hold for an hour to get an appointment then when you speak to the doctor or pharmacist they have no idea why they texted you. The lack of access will lead to harm and pressure on acute hospitals. This is why so many patients go to ED because there is such poor GP access at surgeries like the grove. Earlier today they rang to cancel my nurse appointment as the staff member was sick. I asked if ,while the receptionist was on the phone, I could book a routine GP appointment. She said no I had to call at 8am. They are clearly understaffed with admin also hence waiting in a call queue for an hour often being cut off.
