Had my baby 8 weeks ago. My baby was invited for her 8 week check with a GP whom I have never seen before so I'm guess she was new but she rushed my baby's check.. The GP practice did not book me in for my postpartum 8 week check so doctor did not attend to my needs and told me to leave.. I have 2 other children and when they both had their 8 week check the GP also did mine too.

I called the GP practice after my baby's appointment and have been calling for the past 2 days and nobody answers they phone was ring for 8 minutes today and still no answer.. I'm currently feeling low in mood and I have days when I mentally exhausted with having a colicky baby the GP who done baby check did not care and said your not booked you will need to book an appointment first. How can we book an appointment when the practice don't answer?? I can book online but don't have a logo in which I'm sure the GP give you.. I've worked in a practice before so I know how it works and how most staff don't answer the phone..

Word of advice to the managers get some new staff who aren't lazy to answer the calls from us patience.

We are sorry to hear you have had a negative experience when accessing our services. We try to book mother's Postnatal checks at the same time as the baby's eight week check and eight week immunisations. We are aware our phone lines can get extremely busy at certain times of the day which can make it difficult to get through. As you have left your feedback anonymously we are unable to contact you.
